Katie Foggiano

Conservation Services Manager

Katie (she/her/hers) is a multi-faceted leader whose focus is to cultivate innovative spaces and partnerships within nonprofits. Her goal is to work collaboratively with external and internal partners to build the organizational capacity to further the mission and its community impact. She is passionate about ensuring that organizations are accessible for all peoples- differently-abled, neurodivergent, and socioeconomic status; and best represent the communities that they are meant to serve.

Prior to her work at BACC, Katie was the Development Coordinator for the Museum of Us. Prior to that, Katie worked as the Director of Operations for PersuasionPoint, a HR consulting firm focused on making everyone’s job an equitable and healthy environment. Along with a stint working in finance for Corporate America, Katie has had the pleasure of working in the performing arts sector with theatre companies across the country including, La Jolla Playhouse, Actor’s Theatre Louisville, and First Floor Theater in Chicago.

Katie earned her MA in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University, and her BA in Theatre from Concordia University Irvine. She currently serves on the San Diego Emerging Museum Professionals Board on their Outreach and Engagement team. She believes fat is not a bad word, decolonization is key, and Black Lives Matter.
