BACC prides itself on providing museum-quality conservation services to clients. Read on to learn what a few of those clients have to say about working with us.
"We have worked with the conservators at BACC for many years. They have assisted us with the treatment of some of our largest paintings, some of our most challenging painted sculptures, and some of our most delicate drawings. Their guidance on the care of our collection is invaluable. And, they are always a pleasure to work with. We particularly appreciate their thoughtful approach to conservation, and the way they communicate the preservation needs of the objects. "

"I am extremely pleased with the conservation work BACC performed for me on a 17th century Dutch still life. The picture was obscured by a dirty high-gloss varnish that needed to be removed and required meticulous infill painting in a number of areas. The results surpassed my expectations. Best of all, visitors to my house always are stunned when they see it which gives me an opportunity to pontificate about the ancient history of still life painting and its revival by the Dutch in the 17th century. Lucky them?"

“We have been working with BACC for decades now, since we began collecting, and have always been thrilled with the quality of their work. The two most recent examples illustrate the range of their talent:
— Sandy and Bram Dijkstra, Del Mar, CA
- Alexis Miller somehow managed to harmonize the newly found 'wings' to our Lady of Sorrows (1564), with its centerpiece, the three pieces of the triptych now reunited, and hanging at the Timken on loan.
- And, the BACC team took on some seven Matthew Barnes’ paintings (and frames!), making them ready for Matthew Barnes, Painter of the Night, a prime-time exhibition at the Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA).

"We had two oil paintings, a portrait of an ancestor, painted in the late 1800s or early 1900s, and a California landscape painted in the 1930s. The portrait suffered from exposure and required extensive and careful cleaning. The landscape painting had extensive cracks in the paint. We were referred to BACC by friends.
We were able to visit the restoration area, and to learn how restorations were performed. This introduction made it much easier to understand the process and to feel comfortable. Our experience was excellent.
BACC analyzed the paintings, and told us what needed to be done. And, they told us the price that they would charge. The outcome far exceeded our expectations. We are so grateful to BACC for the work they did on those wonderful paintings."

"We were attracted to BACC by its structure as a non-profit foundation and the presence of representatives from a number of leading California art museums on its board. We have remained clients of BACC because of the timeliness and quality of the conservation work on a wide range of paintings we have sent them ranging from 18th century British oils to 20th century American works on paper. BACC maintains accurate records of the art in its custody and applies experienced conservators and current technology to each assignment."

“I was initially hesitant about seeking out restoration services for my original comic art. I had invested so much money into it that I feared any restoration attempts would permanently damage or devalue what I had worked so hard to get. But after a little research (and many review readings) I went with BACC. The BACC Director at the time, Janet Ruggles, immediately put me at ease with the restoration procedures. I could tell by her demeanor and confidence that she was a person who had decades of experience in this field. She clearly and concisely laid out what methods were needed to achieve the results I desired, and when the art was ready for pick-up, the defect was gone. It was unbelievable! It was like the damage never happened.
I took three more restoration projects to BACC, and each time I was blown away by their superior efforts. Even though Ms. Ruggles has since moved on from her position, I will still return to BACC for future restoration projects. There’s no better place to go."
