The American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC), the national membership organization for conservation professionals, produces publications on topics ranging from the care of objects to careers in conservation, as well as on private conservators and guidance for selecting a conservator. Some of these brochures are accessible in an online, electronic version. All are available in print form and can be ordered directly from AIC. The Regional Alliance for Preservation (RAP) is a collaborative umbrella organization for several member organizations, including the Balboa Art Conservation Center, that provide comprehensive preservation information to cultural institutions and the public throughout the United States.
